Minimizing Asthma Attack

Living With Allergy Asthma

Dean Caporella

Allergy asthma is triggered by allergens such as pollen and particles in the air. During a pollen season, there's not much that can be done to prevent the pollen from appearing (that's something you'll need to organise with mother nature ) however, close observation of, and on time medical consumption can keep allery asthma attacks in check.

Allergy asthma is triggered at certain times. Trigger points not only include airbourne pollen. Dust found in the average home can trigger an allergy asthma attack. Environmental substances, or more commonly known as allergens, can either trigger or compound an allergy asthma attack. Grass, weed pollen, animal hair, dust mites... the list goes on; these are known trigger points.

Most people with asthma will also suffer from some form of allergic disorder. Allergy asthma sufferers, up to 70 per cent, also suffer from what is known as hay fever.

In the United States alone, over half of the 17million asthmatics suffer from allergy asthma. while allergy asthma can be a life threatening situation, there are steps can that be easily accomplished to keep you in the safety zone. Often, an asthmatic will suffer an attack and not know what caused it after taking all the extra precautions. It's more than likely contributed to allergy asthma.

Asthma Can Be Controlled

Asthma is something that will never go away. It would also be very hard to keep the dust and pollen out of your life as well so you may ask what you can do about it. Well the most logical answer is to see your physician. Medication to control episodes are very effective.

Patients are first evaluated. A patients specific allergy asthma trigger is identified and then an avoidance program is recommended. Medications including anti-inflammatory agents are prescribed for the symptoms. Allergy shots, designed to reduce allergic sensitization may also be administered.

Don’t Let Allergy Asthma Affect Your Quality Of Life

While allergy asthma affects millions of people it shouldn't affect your quality of life provided you take the right steps. Again, if you are unsure, speak with your physician. Proper medication combined with more awareness should allow you to keep allergy asthma episodes to a minimum.

There is no questioning the impact asthma has had on people's lives all over the world. Make no mistake, it's a killer. But with proper education and awareness, you can keep it under control.
